Shuttle Bus
It was assumed that hundreds of people working on the industrial estate and around the periphery of the town would want a quick and easy way to access services (banks, post office, dry cleaners, sandwich shops, etc.) in the town centre at lunchtime. Accordingly we ran a lunchtime shuttle bus service as an experiment in the summer of 2009, circling the industrial estate and then into the heart of the town centre. Despite extending the trial period after making necessary adjustments to the service, the shuttle bus experiment was terminated at the end of 2009.

On the basis that we just can't be persuaded out of our cars, the remaining budget for this project was switched to fund the Parking Scratch card scheme.
