Our children’s competitions and trails are a fun way to learn and explore about our town.
They are suitable for children aged 11 years and under, however, the whole family can take part. And what’s more, they’re FREE!
Fully funded by the Royston First BID.

Safari Drawing Competition – closes Tuesday 14th July at 11pm
Ahead of our brand NEW and exciting SAFARI TOWN TRAIL DURING AUGUST, we have another competition for you.
We need a little local artist to get creative and design banners for our Safari Trail. You can either draw or paint a picture of your favourite animal, OR you can draw yourself as a Safari Ranger!
The winning design will appear across our banners for the Safari Town Trail in August.
Safari Town Trail – for the month of August
2 x Family Wildlife Walk Tickets at Shepreth Wildlife Park up for grabs!
We’re calling upon all of the town’s budding Safari Rangers to safely venture out to Royston town centre – where wild animals have decided to seek shelter in the windows of some of our shops!
Using the map, rangers will locate the animals and mark their whereabouts on the entry form. There will also be questions related to the animals for the older children to answer, or perhaps research when they get home.
There will be two categories from which two winners will be selected from – up to 7yrs and 8-11yrs.
